December 5, 2023 Admin
default Education Program Residency Programs

Yangzom is a Swiss-Tibetan architect based in Zurich. She studied at ETH Zurich and at the Institute of Technology in Tokyo. After gaining experience in various architectural offices, she started her own practice recently.

During her artist residency in Nepal, she aims to explore the complex interplay of political and physical space at the intersection of architecture and art.

While doing her three-month residency in Kathmandu, supported by Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Art Council, Yangzom plans to explore the Himalayas, delving into the border regions to uncover the diverse landscape and intricate relationship between local and global culture, religious influences, climate, and gender dynamics.
