A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF BIKALP ART FOUNDATION (BAF)
Bikalpa Art Foundation, formerly known as Bikalpa Art Center established in 2013, as a social enterprise dedicated to fostering a vibrant artistic ecosystem in Nepal. Co-founded by Saroj Mahato and Mahima Singh, Bikalpa emerged from a shared vision of empowering emerging artists and nurturing artistic innovation.
Its journey began with a physical space, the Bikalpa Art Center, providing a platform for artists to explore, create, and connect. Recognizing the need for a more sustainable and impactful model, Bikalpa transitioned into a non-profit foundation in 2022. This shift allowed them to expand their reach and provide a wider range of resources and opportunities for Nepal's artistic community.
Today, Bikalpa Art Foundation remains dedicated to its founders' original vision. Through exhibitions, artist residencies, workshops, and community outreach programs, Bikalpa continues to be a catalyst for artistic growth and a champion for Nepal's creative industry and contemporary art scene.
